05-12-2016: CHANGES TO THE IDAHO FOOD CODE! The State of Idaho has recently updated the Idaho Food Code, and the changes go into effect July 1, 2016. This link contains a document that summarizes the major changes between the new Idaho Food Code and the existing Idaho Food Code.

03-14-2016: LEWISTON, IDAHO – Public Health – Idaho North Central District (PH-INCD) announced today that it has achieved national accreditation through the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB). The national accreditation program works to improve and protect the health of the public by advancing and ultimately transforming the quality and performance of the nation’s state, local, Tribal, and territorial public health departments. PH-INCD is one of fewer than 120 health departments that have thus far achieved accreditation through PHAB and the first Health Department in Idaho to achieve this prestigious status. READ MORE

01-08-2016: Public Health – Idaho North Central District (PH-INCD) has been recognized by the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) for its ability to plan for, respond to, and recover from public health emergencies. PH-INCD demonstrated these capabilities by meeting the comprehensive preparedness benchmarks required by Project Public Health Ready (PPHR), a unique partnership between NACCHO and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. PH-INCD joins a cohort of nearly 450 local health departments across the country that have been distinguished for excellence in preparedness through PPHR, either individually or as part of a region.
